Pick your favorite flavor of Pirouline® Chocolate Lined Wafers for these delicious baked apples. Serve with ice cream and garnish with a wafer for an extra treat!
Steps to Complete
Preheat oven to 350°F. Use a baking dish that will hold the apples with a little space in between.
Cream butter and 3/4 cup brown sugar until well blended. Stir in Pirouline wafers, flour, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and salt. Blend everything well.
Peel and core apples. Score the outside of each apple deeply all over with tines of a fork. Roll the apples in the Pirouline® mixture firmly, so that the entire outside of each apple is covered.
Set apples in a baking dish and put 1 teaspoon brown sugar in the center of each.
Bake about 40 minutes or until apples are tender and outsides are crisp. Serve warm with ice cream for an extra treat!
