  • Chocolate (Dark or Milk chocolate is fine) - optional 3 oz
  • Vegetable Shortening - optional 1 teaspoon

Steps to Complete

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degree F.

Step 2

Separate dough into 8 (4 per can) – 7x5 inch rectangles (firmly pinching triangle seams to seal into rectangle shape).

Step 3

Place 2 Pirouline Cookies at one end of the 7 inch rectangle and roll. Cookies should now be in the center of the croissant. Pinch ends to seal.

Step 4

Place croissants on prepared cookie sheet and bake for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 5

Remove immediately from pan.

Step 6

Serve warm or at room temperature.

Step 7

For chocolate Drizzle on top - Optional

Microwave chocolate and shortening in medium, microwave-safe, uncoveredbowl on medium power for 1 minute; stir gently. Continue to microwave at additional 10 to 15 second intervals, until melted. Add warm chocolate to a parchment piping cone(a plastic sandwich bag), cut a very small piping whole,and drizzle over the room temperature chocolate croissants.
