Steps to Complete

Step 1

1. Start by painting your tin a solid color! I used a light blue spray paint to cover my tin.
The glow in the dark paint doesn't dry completely clear, it's more of a transparent white, so I wouldn't recommend a darker color or your glow in the dark pattern might show during the day.

Step 2

2. Next, paint a pattern onto your tin using the glow in the dark paint!

I was unable to get a good picture of this, as the paint is pretty transparent. I used a small paintbrush to paint scalloped circles onto my tin.

Step 3

3. So that your planter has proper drainage, you will want to use a small awl to poke a few holes into the bottom of the tin.

Step 4

4. Plant your tin! I planted a dianthus flower and a bit of sedum into my tin, and I love how the sedum overflows.
