Steps to Complete

Step 1

5 mins
-Bake yellow cake mix as directed and let cool. While it’s cooling, cream two sticks of butter in a bowl fitted with a paddle attachment on medium speed, until light and creamy. Add powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, and salt. Mix on low speed until combined and no visible lumps.

Step 2

5 mins
-Begin to melt chocolate over a double boiler. Once the cake is cooled, crumble it up in to a large bowl until fine. Add your frosting and mix with your hands until it is all combined and can hold its shape. With your hands, roll cake and frosting mixture in to 2 inch sized rounds and place on a cookie sheet. Once chocolate is melted, remove from heat and place next to the cake balls. Place all of your coconut in to a bowl and set next to the melted chocolate. Begin coating each cake ball in chocolate, then coat it in coconut. Careful, it gets messy! Set them on a cookie sheet to dry, and serve!
